Product properties
(1) White fine powder, hardly soluble in water, insoluble in cold ethyl alcohol, soluble in hot ethyl alcohol, benzene, methylbenzene and other nonpolar solvents; after heating and dissolving in organic solvents, it becomes gel when cooled.
(2) It will decompose into stearic acid and its corresponding barium salt when meeting strong acid.
(3) It is hygroscopic in air.

Application scope
(1) It can be used as heat-resistant lubricating agent for machines, heat-resistant additive for rubber products, heat-resistant stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride plastics.
(2) It can be used as heat stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride products.
(3) It can be used as water-proofing agent, lubricating agent and bearing filling material.
(4) It can be used as heat-resistant lubricating agent for machines, heat-resistant powder for rubber products.
(5) It can be used as both stabilizer and lubricating agent for polyvinyl chloride; it has the best long-term heat resisting property among all stearates of alkaline-earth metals.
(6) It can be used in soft transparent films, thin panels, artificial leathers and hard panels and pipes, etc.
