(1) 2-EHS is a colorless to light yellow liquid. It's odorless or with a slight characteristic odor.

Application

(1) Cosmetics: it has great penetrating, moisturizing and softening effects on the skin, and it's widely used in skin care products and makeup cleansing oil; It is often used in the formulas of foundation creams, sunscreens, eye shadow powders, lipsticks, mascara creams, etc.

(2) Body cleaning agents: used as softener or thickener in formulas of shower gels, hair conditioners or tints.

(3) Lubricating agents: has great lubricity and annealing/cleaning property when used in metal machining liquid and rolling mill compound.

(4) Solvents: 2-EHS has low viscosity and low volatility; it can be used as a solvent to replace mineral oil, aromatic solvents in fields like ink, pesticide, etc.
